Get SmoothKey running in under a minute — no setup, no API keys, no accounts.
Setup
- iPhone Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → SmoothKey.
- Tap SmoothKey in the keyboard list and enable Full Access (needed for AI replies; everything else works without it).
- In any chat app: copy the last message you received, switch to the SmoothKey keyboard (long-press the globe icon) and tap ✨ Reply.
- The first time, you'll see a short privacy notice explaining what is sent — tap Allow and get three ready-to-send replies in your chosen style.
Common questions
- Do I need Full Access? — Typing and the offline Lines (phrasebook) work without it. AI replies need Full Access because the keyboard must read the copied message and reach the network. If it's off, the keyboard shows a hint explaining how to enable it — nothing breaks.
- No context appears — copy the message in the chat app first, then open the Reply panel; or tap Paste inside the panel.
- What does it cost? — SmoothKey is free to download and includes a 1-day free trial of Pro. After the trial, Pro is a weekly or annual subscription (billed by Apple, cancel anytime).
- Which apps work? — All of them: WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram, Telegram, Tinder and any app that uses the standard iOS keyboard.
- Which languages? — The app is available in English, German, French, Spanish and Hebrew.

SmoothKey collects no personal data. Message text is sent only to generate replies, only after you allow it, and is never stored. See the Privacy Policy.
